The Wilds Guest House was born from a deep-rooted passion for hospitality and a vision to provide quality Hluhluwe accommodation for travellers visiting Zululand. The Theron family opened its doors in mid-2019, bringing decades of experience in the tourism and accommodation industry to the small town of Hluhluwe in KwaZulu-Natal. With a hospitality background stretching back to 2002, the family also owns and operates The Wilds Lodge in Kuruman, Northern Cape, making hospitality not just a business but a way of life.
Shortly after opening, the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, presenting enormous challenges for the tourism industry. But the Theron family persevered, adapting and continuing to pour their hearts into creating a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable guest house experience. Their resilience and dedication saw them through some of the most difficult times the hospitality sector has ever faced.
